Dear Bride and Groom,
As you know, the rapid spread and escalated emergency due to COVID-19 has become a serious concern for many. With the world fighting a heartbreaking problem that has changed lives forever, my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to those affected by this.
As your wedding photographer, I am so grateful to be entrusted with capturing your gorgeous day and prioritize your health and well-being, and of course, being there to celebrate alongside you and your loved ones.
I wanted to reach out to you personally to let you know that I won’t be going anywhere and want to be your ally through this. I myself am taking precautionary steps to ensure that I will be healthy on your wedding day and wanted to encourage you with some items moving forward as your wedding day approaches.
-
Look into wedding insurance. Are there any policies or clauses for instances considered acts of God, or epidemics/pandemics?
-
Create a website to share updates about your wedding. Wedding planning sites like Zola and The Knot are free and would be a great resource for this, if you don’t have a wedding website already.
-
Take precautionary measures for YOURSELF. Leading up to your wedding day, refrain from large crowds, and do everything you can so that you and your fiancé remain healthy.
-
Send a message to your guests. Again, free to do through Zola or The Knot platforms. Request that if they, or a family member of their household are ill to consider refraining from attending your event in order to protect loved ones with weakened/compromised immune systems that will be in attendance. (If you need a copy of what I sent my guests for my OWN wedding, let me know, I’m happy to send it over).
-
Order bridesmaid dresses from a US-based vendors early. Unfortunately with most bridesmaid dress companies being based overseas, we’ve seen long delays with unknown shipping times. We had to make a last minute switch to Lulu’s to get our gowns and received them in less than a week.
-
Confide in your vendors and move forward planning your wedding with confidence. I would encourage you to continue to plan to have your wedding, and lean on your team of vendors during this time. We’re here to help you have the most beautiful day. However, if you are considering postponing your wedding, be sure to reach out to all vendors and have an open dialogue about this IMMEDIATELY. Our availabilities throughout the wedding season are limited and we have policies in place to protect you. We want to do everything in our power to work with you through this time.
I’m so privileged to be able to do this for a living and to have the opportunity to celebrate YOU. As we walk through unknown territory in the coming weeks, please know that I’m here to help, always.
Sincerely,
Hannah Forsberg
