Brad and Nyssa’s Holud Ceremony took place the day before their wedding ceremony. A Holud Ceremony is a pre-ceremony ritual where the bride and groom are blessed by their loved ones and beautified with a turmeric paste. This joyous day is known for its vibrant yellow and red colors, with yellow signifying prosperity and well-wishes for the start of the newlywed’s journey together. Afterward, their guests had a wonderful dinner that featured lavish Indian food followed by a game of shoe-stealing and reception dances and songs performed by their loved ones and wedding party.
Nyssa and Brad were wed the next morning at the Foundry at Puritan Mill in the most beautiful, vibrant celebration. Nyssa wore a traditional saree embellished with delicate floral applique, while Brad wore a Kurta with a striking navy blue color and gold accents. Designed and planned by Pop & Fizz, the weekend featured bright colors and romantic florals. The morning began slowly as Nyssa and Brad prepared for the festivities of the day with their wedding party and then led to an emotional first look. After portraits together, Brad’s family participated in a Groom’s Entrance – or, better known as a Baraat, a formal and fun procession with dancing and singing into the wedding ceremony. After saying their handwritten vows to one another, Brad and Nyssa became husband and wife, with the rest of the evening filled with dancing, pomp, and celebration.
