Earlier this summer, at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, Stephanie and Rodney promised their lives to one another and began a new chapter of their love story together. Their day was a beautiful display of redemption, their love for Jesus and for one another was something that moved me deeply. Fate brought these two together in the most unconventional way – one would think that it’s similar to that of a heartwarming Hallmark movie!
Rodney spotted Stephanie at a gas station in San Antonio and struck up a conversation with her, asking to see her. After much persistence, Stephanie ultimately decided to take a chance and open her heart up to finding love and met with Rodney for dinner. The rest, as you say, was history.
The wedding day began as Stephanie had her beauty done while wearing her couture bridal robe designed by V.Tabi with a flowing and textured skirt. Stephanie commissioned a Nona Nneka wedding gown which featured made with hundreds of Swarovski crystals that embellished it. She had matching earrings and a hairpiece made as well. She flew in her gown designer and was dressed by her stylists on the day of – a truly luxurious experience! The groom had a silk, champagne-colored tux with intricate floral detailing designed by Sebastian Cruz. Before the festivities of the day began, each member of the wedding party was gifted a pair of Louboutins, a surprise from the couple!
Keesha Nettles Events planned their wedding celebration at the gorgeous resort in the beautiful Greensboro, Georgia, which is about an hour outside of Atlanta. With a classic vision and love for nature, Keesha brought in design experts, Legendary Events to bring the design to life. Japanese cherry blossom trees lined the ceremony aisle, being the primary focal point and bringing attention to the altar. Family and heritage were important to this couple, and they were intentional in honoring loved ones who passed and including loved ones throughout some of the traditions and formalities of the day. After being escorted by her brothers down the aisle, Stephanie shared some of the most heartfelt handwritten vows to Rodney and both made promises to their children.
After inviting guests to enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, loved ones and friends found their way into a ballroom that continued the theme of Japanese cherry blossoms with touches of crystal scattered throughout. After introductions, the groom surprised his bride with a special appearance of the crooner and performer MAJOR, who flew in and sang the couple’s first dance and formal dances. It was truly a magical evening that was a joy to be a part of and witness.
